City of Sheffield Swim Squad

The first weekend of the 2012 Long Course Yorkshire Championships took place in Leeds on the weekend of the 18th and 19th of February with swimmers from J02, J01, AGN, Junior Development and Senior Elite competing. It was going to be tough to match the performance of last year as most of the Senior Elite squad had not entered this year as they are focusing on the Olympic Trial and a significant number of other swimmers had just returned from a hard training camp. Nonetheless, this year there were more medallists and finalists than last, which is a fantastic performance.

Swimmers from the Senior Elite and Age Group National squads competed at the Northern Area Zonal Meet at Ponds Forge over the weekend of 28th/29th January. The meet includes swimmers from North West and North East ASA Regions – normally the strongest two regions in the country.
