The Nationwide Short Course Swimming Championships organised by Disability Sports Events took place on the weekend of 26th/27th November at Ponds Forge. COSSS swimmer, and member of the Junior Development squad, Ryan Wilkinson had a fantastic weekend finishing 2nd and 3rd in his category for the 200 IM and 50 FC respectively.
His performance means that he has qualified for the Paralympic Trials at the British Championships to be held at the London 2012 Olympic Pool in March. In addition, Ryan's 50 FC time (30.60) is a World Class Time for his category which means that he could be admitted to the British Swimming World Class Programme from January, funding permitting.
This success is well deserved recognition for the hard work and commitment Ryan puts into his training programme.
