Swimmers from the Senior Elite and Age Group National squads competed at the Northern Area Zonal Meet at Ponds Forge over the weekend of 28th/29th January. The meet includes swimmers from North West and North East ASA Regions – normally the strongest two regions in the country.
Finals were swum in 14/under and 15/over in the women's events and 16/under and 17/over in the men's. At the end of the weekend, COSSS finished top of the medals table (14 gold, 9 silver and 4 bronze) and also had a many other top 10 finishes and PBs – a fantastic performance given that the swimmers are all still in heavy training for their target events later in the season.
