Keith Downing

The Club is sad to announce the death of Keith Downing, a great friend and long serving coach to the club. He will be greatly missed.

Corrections to Christmas Training Schedule

Click on the link above to obtain a corrected schedule for the Christmas training schedule. On Thursday 7th December, there is a large event on at Ponds Forge, and the front entrance/reception (including any entry/exit points) will be out of use for the squads. However, we will be able to use the bottom exit (at the bottom of the stairs, past the club noticeboards) to enter and exit the building, so training will not be affected at all. For any parents who are attending the Club AGM that evening, the same exit will be in use. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Sheffield Takes Center Stage for Summer of Aquatics

Sheffield's Ponds Forge will host the Cheesestrings ASA National Age Group Champions and the ASA National Youth and Long Course Championships during late July and August. City of Sheffield competes with its largest ever squad and the hope of a hatful of medals.

Nutrition Lecture

Max Partridge competed for Great Britain in the FINA Swimming World Cup in Stockholm and Berlin.

Premier Meet Date Changes

Our Premier Meet has now moved to revised dates of March 31st to April 2nd in order to accomodate the requirements of 'The Games' TV program. Age on date for the meet has now changed to April 2nd.

Results from the Winter Distance Meet

This meet produced some excellent performances for an early season meet, coming as it does towards the end of a block of intensive training.

Debbie and James Compete at European Short Course

Debbie Hall and James Kirton competed at the European Short Course Championships in Trieste, representing Great Britain. Both swimmers competed in the 100m and 200m Breaststroke with Debbie also getting a swim in the Womens Medley Relay Team.
