Joan Weatherington, the club's Vice Chairperson, has received a Regional Aquaforce award following an outstanding commitment of more than 25 years to swimming and COSSS. Well done Joan!

Zoe Clayton has a great week at the INAS/FID World Championships as she is part of a British team that came second overall in the points table.

Max Partridge, Charlotte Broadbent and Rebecca Turner represented Great Britain at the European Junior Championships in Antwerp. They all had great swims and brought home three medals between them. Click the link above for a report.

COSSS came second at the gala held at Harrogate on June 30th.

Despite not being able to swim on the Sunday a great time was had over the weekend of June 16th and 17th.

The Club is sad to announce the death of Keith Downing, a great friend and long serving coach to the club. He will be greatly missed.

On Thursday 7th December, there is a large event on at Ponds Forge, and the front entrance/reception (including any entry/exit points) will be out of use for the squads. However, we will be able to use the bottom exit (at the bottom of the stairs, past the club noticeboards) to enter and exit the building, so training will not be affected at all. For any parents who are attending the Club AGM that evening, the same exit will be in use. Sorry for any inconvenience.

A total of 25 Gold Medals and Top Boy award for George Rix added up to a highly successful weekend for JO1 at the Rotherham Metro A/B Grade Meet.

Sheffield's Ponds Forge will host the Cheesestrings ASA National Age Group Champions and the ASA National Youth and Long Course Championships during late July and August. City of Sheffield competes with its largest ever squad and the hope of a hatful of medals.

Zoe Clayton had a busy DSE Junior Championships at Ponds Forge over the weekend of March 4th and 5th and cam away with 3 silver and 4 bronze individual medals.

COSSS held a nutrition lecture for the Junior National Squad on 22nd February. It was a fantastic success and our nutritionist Mayur Ranchordas was on top form as usual. Click the link above for a copy of the notes from the lecture.

Andy Shepherd and James Crisp were in action in the backstroke at the British University Championships over the weekend of February 10th to 12th.

Another bag full of medals for the club with 20 Gold, 18 Silver and 13 Bronze, plus Max Partridge receives the Moorhouse Scholarship award.

The club is sad to announce the retirement of Arthur Downing, one of the club's most successful swimmers.

Max Partridge competed for Great Britain in the FINA Swimming World Cup in Stockholm and Berlin.

Our Premier Meet has now moved to revised dates of March 31st to April 2nd in order to accomodate the requirements of 'The Games' TV program. Age on date for the meet has now changed to April 2nd.

This meet produced some excellent performances for an early season meet, coming as it does towards the end of a block of intensive training.

Debbie Hall and James Kirton competed at the European Short Course Championships in Trieste, representing Great Britain. Both swimmers competed in the 100m and 200m Breaststroke with Debbie also getting a swim in the Womens Medley Relay Team.
