City of Sheffield Swim Squad Katherine Riggs - Young Ambassador for Sport
Well done to Katherine Riggs (Junior National Squad) who has been selected to become a Young Ambassador for sport. She is one of 4 young people chosen to represent Barnsley in a nationwide scheme to help promote sport amongst young people.
The role of a Young Ambassador;
1. Increasing participation and promoting healthy active lifestyles for other young people.
2. Supporting talented young sportspeople.
3. Learning inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic Games and London 2012 across subjects in school.
4. Raising awareness of the Young Ambassador Programme, London 2012 & the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
5. Leading and empowering other young people.
6. Having an impact beyond your school support partnership.
