City of Sheffield Swim Squad Whiting Trophy 2009
On Saturday 26th September a small squad of swimmers travelled to Mansfield to compete in the Whiting Trophy Gala. Despite the team having been heavily affected and depleted by illness, all swimmers clubbed together to put in some strong performances. A special mention must go to the 11 and under boys age group comprising of Sam Budd, Devon Stead, Jordan Damms and Shay Holden, who between them won 4 out of their 6 races and finished second in the other 2!. Overall it was a fantastic team performance! Thanks must also go to Kim Jervis, Mark Finch and Steve Thorpe for their help in running the gala.
