In the pool there was some superb swimming with many achieving PBs. Overall, nearly 60 medals were won (23 gold, 22 silver and 14 bronze). JO2 leas coach, Fraser Farren, was particularly impressed with the squad's technique, attitude and effort, particularly in the 200 events and in the fourth session when all were a little tired! He said, "Just wish we could put a recording of the noise they were making at the pool, it was unreal. Big mention must go to Bradley Chambers who not only swam like a beast and cheered his heart out but was most impressive when looking after all the younger ones at the hotel. Jonny Brocks and Matthew Pagdin were the ring leaders behind all the chanting and ensured it kept going all weekend and all the girls for the way they kept morale up by keeping everyone laughing with their dance routines and drive to be faster than the boys!"
Out of the water, the swimmers represented COSSS brilliantly by supporting their team mates and by behaving so well at the pool and in the hotel (a number of officials and hotel staff complimented the swimmers over the weekend).
