This site is now the home of our Gala Results and article archives.

We launched a new website in early 2022.  Take a look here.

Izzy Grant (16) was part of a talented GB team that travelled in the second week of July to the European Junior Championships in Dordrecht, The Netherlands. She competed in the 50, 100 and 200 fly and in the medley team relay, and finished in an impressive 4th place in the final of the 200 fly, in a great pb of 2.12.5.

Six of our swimmers were selected to compete at the Commonwealth Games at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre: Becky Turner (Eng), Ellie Faulkner (Eng), Gareth Mills (Scot) Lewis Coleman (Eng), Max Litchfield (Eng) and Nick Grainger (Eng). Russ Barber was also selected as an England coach. Becky was a member of the 4x100 free team that won silver and smashed the English and British record, and Becky and Ellie swam the last 2 legs of the 4x200 free relay that won bronze and beat the previous English record by 6 seconds. Lewis Coleman was part of the 4x100 free team that won a bronze, and Gareth Mills was part of the Scottish Team that won the silver in the 4x200 free relay.

James Crisp represented GB at the European IPC Championships in Eindhoven between 4th-10th August and came away with yet another gold in the S9 100 back to add to his multiple European, World and Paralympic medals. He also won a very impressive bronze in the 100 Breaststroke.

Last, but not least, Becky Turner and Max Litchfield were part of a relatively small GB team that performed brilliantly at the European Championships in Berlin between 18th- 24th August. Max saved his performance of the season to his last race of the season, just finishing outside the medals in 4th in the final of the 400 IM and smashing the Yorkshire record in 4:14:97. To top all of this fantastic racing, Becky was part of the mixed 4x100 medley team that won the Gold in a new World Record, and also the 4x100 free team that won bronze.

Many congratulations to all our swimmers who competed internationally this season – fantastic achievements all round! What a season!
