The Best In Education Awards recognises elite sport performers who are in full-time education and under 18 years of age. They are nominated for a variety of awards by their schools. The finalists are selected by a judging panel and invited to the awards evening.
Darcy won her category due to her high sporting and academic performance. She won 5 National, 4 European and two Commonwealth Youth medals, and also achieved her academic goals in passing all her GCSEs.
