In the pool, our swimmers won 42 medals and set 160 new PBs, which was even more than in 2015. Out of the pool, the weekend provided a great opportunity for young swimmers to stay and compete away from home, and to cope with different foods and sharing rooms with teammates, all of which will be great preparation for competing in the future.
JO2 coach, Hannah Wardle said, "It was great to see how our swimmers stepped up to swim so well after a long journey and how well they supported all their teammates – there was a great atmosphere on poolside. I was also really pleased with how they conducted themselves out of the pool too. I'd like to thank Stephen, Rachel and Robbie on behalf of myself, the club and the swimmers for all their help over the weekend."
