This site is now the home of our Gala Results and article archives.

We launched a new website in early 2022.  Take a look here.

This year's Championships also acted as a qualification meet for a number of British teams including the World Swimming Championships, the European Youth Olympic Festival, European and Word Junior Championships. Competitors aimed to qualify for three levels of finals: Open (any age), Target Tokyo (women born 97, 98, 99 and men 96, 97, 98) and Junior (women born 00 or earlier and men born 99 or earlier).

Max Litchfield put in one of the performances of the week. His dominant performance in the 400 IM broke the British record, setting new figures of 4.10.63, and also guaranteed his selection for the British team for the World Championships in Hungary later in the year. He then backed up this performance with a storming 200 IM swim to win in 1.58.10.
Ellie Faulkner had a fantastic week, winning the 200 freestyle in a personal best of 1.57.88. She also won bronze medals in the 100 and 400 free, again setting a new personal best in the 100 free of 54.89. Our fourth British title was won by Rosie Rudin, who came from behind with incredible back end speed to win the 200 backstroke in a personal best time of 2.09.55.

Other Open medallists were Max Litchfield (bronze) in the 400 free and Joe Litchfield (bronze) in the 400 IM. The long list of other finalists, including those in the Junior and Target Tokyo finals is provided at the bottom of this article and more details and photographs and interviews can be found on our Facebook page here.

Russ Barber, headcoach said, "i'm incredibly proud of the team's performances across the board, Age-group and Senior. It's fantastic to have so many COSSS swimmers selected for teams but also well done to all those who broke records and pb'd too. Everybody wore the club colours with pride, showed fantastic team spirit and were rewarded for the effort and hard work they have put in."
