Results and Archive

This site is now the home of our Gala Results and article archives.

We launched a new website in early 2022.  Take a look here.

Nick Grainger swam the second leg of the awesome 4x200 freestyle team (comprising Stephen Milne, Nick, Duncan Scott and James Guy) who took gold in a fantastic race. His split of 1.46.05 was a big PB and a truly world class time and confirmed Nick's potential as a top international freestyle swimmer. The team also set a new British record for the event.

Max Litchfield continued his impressive progress at a world level in both medley events. In the 200 IM he set new British and Commonwealth records on the way to the final clocking 1.56.64 in the semi-final, and finished fourth in a close final. In the 400 IM, he repeated his record breaking feat by setting new British and Commonwealth records in the semi-final and then going faster still to finish a frustrating fourth in 4.09.62.

Richard Nagy, who has been at the club for the last year, made his first World final, finishing 8th in the 400 IM and also broke the Slovakian record in the 200 IM and set a season's best in the 400 free too.

Last but not least, Rosie Rudin competed in the 200 back in her first senior World Championships. This will provide a great stepping stone for Rosie who we're sure will translate her impressive junior international performances to senior meets in the years ahead.

The club is incredibly proud of all four swimmers who competed - they deserve everything they achieved through their dedication and hard work. We look forward to next season and more success!
