Neither COSSS team disappointed! Our A team was neck-and-neck with City of Leeds throughout the evening, with COSSS A finally coming out on top for the first time in the history of this competition! COSSS B was also superb, finishing ahead of Borough of Kirklees and only 2 point s adrift of City of Leeds B, demonstrating the strength in depth of the squad.
As we have come to expect, our open swimmers in both A and B teams were hugely impressive. However, the younger swimmers really stepped up their swimming and put in some fantastic individual and relay performances, often touching out their competitors in the last few strokes. A special mention should go to those who travelled to the event to swim one or two relay legs; without them the teams' success would not have been possible. This was exemplified by COSSS Masters swimmer, Alistair Crawford, whose only swim was a scorching last leg of the very last event!
If the noise, atmosphere and team spirit at Harrogate can be repeated, the regional final in Leeds is not to be missed. Keep your diary free for Saturday 10th December!
