The COSSS swimmers were in the middle of heavy training in preparation for target events later in the season, so swimming fast was always going to be tough. Nonetheless, many swimmers achieved PBs and top 3 finishes. Highlights included a great tussle between Ellie Faulkner and Kerri-Anne Payne in the 800 free, Braxton Timm's and James Kirton's strong swims to win 2 and 3 events respectively and Hannah Wardle's multiple top 3 placings and her 1st place in the over 13s Skins competition. In the younger age groups, Cian Senior had a fantastic weekend finishing in the top 3 in 5 events and he secured 1st place in the BAGCATs and 3rd in the Skins competitions. Other notable swims were Sam Budd's 1500 free, Izzie Grant's 200 fly and Amy Treslove's 3 top 3 finishes and 2nd place in the U13s Skins competition.
Overall, it was an impressive weekend of swimming, with COSSS finishing 3rd in both the male and female visiting club competitions.
