During lockdown it has been incredible to see all of our swimmers exercising and finding ways to maintain their fitness upon their return to the pool. To say we are proud of each swimmer is an understatement. However, a special mention needs to go to Daisy Haigh in JOD. Throughout lockdown, Daisy swam in a pop up pool and bungee in her back garden every day, in order to keep fit but also raise money for the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Daisy set a goal of swimming 5K in five days, to raise as much money as possible. I am pleased to say that Daisy achieved her goal and managed to raise £910 for an amazing charity. Daisy also appeared on BBC Radio Sheffield to talk about her achievement and talked about how much she loves the club and swimming.
