We are South Yorkshire’s premier competitive swimming club and train at the prestigious Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield. Our programme is a partnership between Sheffield City Council and City of Sheffield Swim Squad. Our aim is to compete at the highest levels in the sport, and within our squads we have many International swimmers and National medallists. We also compete at district, county and regional levels, including various open meets through-out the year. We are an ASA Beacon Club and are regularly ranked in the top 10 clubs in Great Britain.

No Frills Swimsuit Advice

For those that are not aware, British Swimming has, this week, made the following announcement regarding swimsuits and this advice will be applied at the No Frills Gala.
"British Swimming and the ASA advise officials that FINA bylaw BL 8.1 only applies to Olympic Games and FINA events. There is no requirement for officials to check that costumes are on the approved FINA list. Bylaws BL 8.2 and BL 8.3 cover our requirement for design and material. A suit check will only be made if a World or European record is being claimed."
James Crisp qualifies for the World Championships again!

Senior Elite swimmer James Crisp competed at the British DSE Open Championships which took place at Ponds Forge between the 25th and 28th of April. His impressive performances in the 100 back and 200 IM means that he has qualified to represent Britain at the IPC World Championships in August at Montreal, Canada. Congratulations James!
